I have rarely encountered a friendly stray dog who wanted me to adopt them. Usually, they are either too afraid to approach or simply not interested. The hardships of life often make them believe they can’t live a normal life.
However, that’s not always the case. One sweet dog noticed a special person and decided she wanted to meet her.
A Fateful Event
When Nina first moved to her new town, she was preparing for a professional tournament. Her daily routine was always the same, and she didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary to happen. But life has a way of surprising you when you least expect it. While going about her routine, a very friendly stray dog approached her.
Nina was excited to meet her, and it was clear the dog liked her too. It was just adorable. Nina told The Dodo, “She would start running up to me. To see how much she trusted me, I just started to fall in love with her.”
They met daily, and their interactions were heartwarming. The dog, now named Nips, clearly wanted to be with Nina.
Nips Is Carrying a Surprise
One day, as they met up again, a security guard chased the dog away. When Nina asked why, he explained it was dangerous to have a stray around and that someone might take extreme measures to get rid of her.
Determined to help, Nina decided to welcome Nips into her home. Soon after, she realized her new dog was pregnant. Nina said, “It was really good to know that she was with us instead of being a stray dog.”
Having Nips stay in her room was challenging because Nina wasn’t allowed to have pets, but she always snuck her in because Nips was worth it. When Nina had to move away for the tournament, she arranged for a pet store with kind people to help care for Nips while she was gone.
A New Life for Nips
During the tournament, Nips started giving birth, motivating Nina even more to do her best. She ended up winning the tournament. Nips gave birth to six healthy puppies and proved to be a wonderful mother.
The puppies grew quickly and things became chaotic in the house as they wanted to explore and play. It was beautiful to see this sweet dog family grow and enjoy life. Nina said, “I think the most special thing is that we ended up saving seven lives, and we managed to find them all forever homes.”
Nips stayed with Nina, who is grateful to have such a special dog. It’s truly amazing to see how everything turned out for them.
