I’ve always enjoyed stories where complete strangers meet a stray dog and don’t hesitate for even a second to help. When they figure things out, they call for help so that the pups can receive proper medical assistance from professionals. This is all it takes. A simple gesture of kindness and a call to the proper authorities is what a person needs to do to help a dog in need. We should all strive to be more like that. In this instance, a Good Samaritan noticed a seriously injured dog and rushed to help her as much as he could before other help arrived.
A Call For Help
When the rescuers from Hope For Paws heard about the incident with the stray pup, they drove immediately to the location in California. They arrived quickly, and the Good Samaritan was waiting for them. He led them to a small shelter he had prepared for the dog. She was very scared of seeing strangers, but they had to help her. He approached her very carefully and tried to examine her injuries.
When it became clear that she would not get out on her own, the rescuer placed a Lucky Leash on her, and she surprisingly remained calm during the whole process. The rescuer then tried to get her out of her little house, unaware of the severity of her injuries. The Good Samaritan informed him that she had been hit by a car in the area and had a broken pelvis. The rescuers were heartbroken to hear this, but it meant that they had to hasten the rescue mission. She needed help fast.
The dog, now named Turtllini, was rushed to a veterinarian clinic in California to receive immediate care.
Turtllini’s New Hope
Turtllini was given a bath first, and the veterinarians were careful to dry her because of her broken pelvis. They then conducted an X-ray to assess the extent of the injury. Upon reviewing the results, the vets decided to perform surgery on her. Everything went smoothly, and she was already on her way to recovery.
Turtllini healed quickly, becoming more playful, and her tail would wag whenever her rescuers were around her. It was clear she was grateful to everyone who helped her. The next step was to find her a permanent home. For the time being, they were able to secure her a foster home with the Safe Rescue Team, who would care for her.
While we don’t know if she has found a home yet, she is in safe hands, and everyone is caring for her well. I am glad Turtllini got a second chance to prove that she is worthy of someone’s love, and I hope she finds someone truly special.
